Farming with a Face
Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) forges a direct relationship between local citizens and local producers - no middle-persons or convoluted and mysterious distribution systems to compromise either the quality of the food or the relationship. You know where your food comes from; we know who our customers are - “farming with a face”, the Japanese have aptly called it. In exchange for your financial commitment to our farm, we will focus our labors on your behalf, producing an abundant harvest of organically grown 
product, harvested fresh and delivered to a convenient pick up site near you.
The Harvest Chart should give you an idea of the types and timing of crops you will receive in both the Main and Fall Shares. Only the basic categories are indicated; for each type shown, we grow from a few to several distinct varieties. We endeavor to make each week’s share colorful and interesting, while always including a core selection of the vegetables most people enjoy and use weekly.
A weekly newsletter, included with the box and also available on this website, will provide recipes and preparation hints to help you to fully enjoy your weekly box. You can read current and past editions of the newsletter in the newsletter archive. On farm events are scheduled throughout the season to offer you a chance to connect with the farm, the farmers, and fellow shareholders.
Garden Shares, both Main and Fall Season, provide enough produce to feed a family of 2- 4 people. Vegetarians or larger families might consider purchasing an 
additional Full or Half Share to provide for their needs. Garden Shares can be split with other families or individuals; however one person must be responsible for payment.
With CSA, you share with us the risks of crop losses and failures, though to minimize these risks we plant a wide variety of crops. While there may be problems with specific crops, there will always be others available to fill in the gaps.
Please use the CSA Order Form and the Bulk Order Form to select the program or products you want. Main Season and Fall Season Shares are delivered Wednesdays to several pick up sites in Bellingham, Ferndale, and at the farm; a list of our pick up sites is provided on the CSA Order Form. Vacation Credit: All shares may chose to skip a week or more of delivery for vacations or other situations taking them elsewhere. Please contact us for the details.

Farmers’ Market Share: Choose whatever items, in whatever quantity you like from our display at the Saturday Bellingham Farmers’ Market, June through mid-November. The minimum investment for a Farmers’ Market Share is $75, to which we add another 10% in the form of a credit to your account balance. Farmers’ Market Shares can be purchased in addition to Full and Half Shares to provide greater flexibility of choice and quantity of produce. Minimum investment = $75.
Bulk Orders. Please refer to the Bulk Order Form for the crops we offer, their price, and other ordering details. Ordering bulk is a great way to supplement your CSA or Farmers’ Market Share with items your family uses consistently or that you simply want to have for storage during the off-season. Any one may place a bulk order - you do not have to be a shareholder.
Work Shares: Receive a reduction in your share cost in exchange for assisting with a variety of tasks on the farm. Please check the Work Share box on the CSA Order Form to receive additional information about this program. Work share positions are limited, so please inquire early if you’d like a spot.
Thank You!! The highlight of the season was my daughters newfound love of edamamae. We unfortunately have to buy it frozen now (it's not nearly as good as yours) but who can complain when you have an 8 year old scarffing down her veggies?!
Garden Shares: A box of freshly picked and packed produce from our farm (and occasionally other local organic farms), delivered to a pick-up site convenient to you. Garden Share boxes will reflect the changing production of the seasons, but will always contain an equivalent value of product from week to week. We offer Garden Shares in two seasons, Main and Fall, and two sizes, Full and Half (delivered every other week). Six pick-up sites to choose from - Ferndale, Elizabeth Park, South Hill / Fairhaven, Lakeway Ave., North Lake Whatcom, and at the Farm.
Main Season Share: Mid May through September.
* Full Share (delivered weekly for 19 weeks): $412.
* Half Share (delivered every other week- 9 boxes total): $199.
Fall Season Share: October to Mid-December
* Full Share (weekly for 11 weeks): $238
* Half Share (every other week for 6 deliveries): $133
